The Council has set forth the following goals for FY 2010:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other state-based stakeholders regarding CTE initiatives
  • Disseminate sixteen career clusters documents to classroom teachers and other state-based stakeholders on the benefits of a CTE education through state listservs and Education for Employment Directors
  • Develop and host podcasts based on the sixteen career clusters on the Council’s website
• Promote and support collaborative research with deliverable outcomes among CTE professionals, which can influence the practices of Illinois' Career and Technical Education programs
• Fund Council members for professional development experiences
  • To spend up to five days in a business/industry setting to bring cutting edge knowledge and skills back to the CTE classroom
  • To attend professional meetings and disseminate the information through the Council
• Design and deliver professional development activities for pre-service CTE teachers focusing on CTE critical issues and
• Continue to update the Council’s website for effective dissemination of information
